SEALOEarth's activities continue to expand in local communities and can easily be replicated around the world using the SEALOEarth framework.
Earth Day
Earth Day is celebrated on April 22. The two unique characteristics about our Earth are: the habitable environment and the richness of life on Earth. Planet Earth is our home, and we have to take care of it. So, we should focus on cleaning up the Earth after ourselves and also leaving it better than we found it for the future generations of all living beings.
The SEALOEarth CARE program organizes Cleanup And Recycling Events in various towns and creates awareness about the environment and conservation.
Parades
Parades are a great way to display our pride in planet Earth. They naturally bring in the sense of oneness in all of us.
SEALOEarth participates in local parades such as the Chelmsford Fourth of July Parade, the Westford Apple Blossom Parade, etc.
SEALOEarth Essay Contest
Essay contest is a fantastic way of expressing the creativity in an individual. The imagination of young minds about the planet Earth is a window into the future.
SEALOEarth conducts essay contests for children to promote unity of life on one and only the planet Earth.
SEALOEarth Workshops
For hands-on, interactive, and in-depth learning about of the importance of conservation, the interconnectedness of life on Earth and its dependence on the Earth’s environment, workshops are a perfect place to do that.
At the 14th World Scout Moot Canada 2013 in the Ottawa region, 3000 young adults from over 83 countries participated. The Global Development Village (GDV) was the main feature of the meeting. SEALOEarth offered 10 two-hour interactive workshops over 10 day period focusing on "Human beings and their environment".
SEALOEarth Scout Merit Badges
For individual learning through research under the guidance of a counselor, the SEALOEarth Merit Badge will be earned by the Scout after a clear and demonstrated understanding on topics such as the scientific tree of life, the interpendence of two species on planet Earth, how a particular species thrives in one habitat and not in others, etc.
SEALOEarth continues to work on the "Clean World - Green World" initiative with Bharat Scouts & Guides Karnataka, India. What a great way to create awareness about the environment and learn about various species!
SEALOEarth Lecture Series
Experts in the area of environment, conservation, energy, natural resources, biology, etc are invited. These stimulating presentations will give the audience an opportunity to interact and ask questions.
SEALOEarth Lecture Series are presented free and open to the public.
SEALOEarth intends to unite, not only the people around the world, but the entire spectrum of life, for a better future of our beautiful and unique planet Earth.
